Here's the documented process of my first attempt at making tarts. I also managed to pick the most difficult of all monster recipes, that took even David Lebovitz months to perfect in his old school days in Berkeley California.
My hand is red from tapping the filling in the oven every 5 min for the last 2 HOURS. Effing hell I better win a prize for something. "Most Brute Effort Invested" would be great.
